A summer for Maine lakes

The heat wave continues. I am used to (and enjoy!) Palm Springs temperatures so I am riding the wave. My vacation destinations changed from Acadia  hikes to swims in lake. If it gets any hotter I might have to start swimming in the (ice cold) ocean. The other day I ventured to Swan Lake State Park. A beautiful park close to Belfast, and when I arrived at 9am, just when it opens,  it was just me and the lake. Peaceful. 2h and 20 kids later,   I was off to return to Belfast for lunch and then take the pulse of the maturity of this year’s wild blueberry harvest. A few more weeks to go.
