Kale Olympics

Sunday is, among other things, food prep for the coming week: grocery shopping, cooking staples like beans or garbanzos in the slow cooker, or making a salad. I have bought a new large stainless steel container, the other one fills up fast just with chopped romaine. ---  The grocery list for this week is written but first I had to take care of a huge bag of chopped curly kale that I had hardly made a dent into over the course of the week. Kale Olympics! Fastest way to prepare a large amount of kale? Kale chips. Preheated the oven to 350F, packed a baking pan full of kale pieces, added some olive oil and salt and pepper, and after 20min it was all done: crispy kale. The rest went into a kale smoothie, with almond milk, 2 dates, and bananas. I should be turbo-charged for skiing now.
Chanelle says he is only interested in chickadee feeding Olympics, and I imagine they are all his favorites ;-)
